Things of Interest

First: The first three pictures of “A Child’s Book of Wicca; Chapter 2, Herne” came in yesterday. They are beautiful and I’ll pick a wallpaper to put up sometime later when I see the full spread of pics.

Second: It’s Mary’s birthday tomorrow. She is going to be 53 and still young. Gods I love her. Almost 14 years and I’m still as in love with her as I was the day I asked. Damn, I’m a sap, I am getting all misty eyed just thinking about it.

Third: I’m considering taking the RSS feed for this blog and somehow fixing it up so that it’s ALSO an email list, for those who don’t have RSS readers. That way there are two options to get updates to the Journal, without having to do much of anything. I have no clue how to go about doing that however.

Fourth: Rhiannon’s grades came back Tuesday. She was chronic in that she didn’t want to perform. But she did. Five A’s and one B, and the B was by one point. I mean, she was taking Algebra in 7th grade and she got an A on it. I mean, damn…. I’m so freaking proud of her about this. More as the exact scores come in.

Fifth: Writing. Okay, I’m sucking at writing new articles. I have three that I’m supposed to be working on, and they are in various stages of done, but they have been that way for a while. I plead being busy. I’m working on an article on RSS feeds, and that may be of interest to some. I’m going to make them as unscary as possible, but that may be a pipe dream.

Sixth: Working on reading two books. Exploring the Northern Tradition by Galina Krasskova and Magic of the Celtic Otherworlds by Steve Blamires. The first I got unprompted from New Page, the second I asked for from Llewellyn. All I can say is “wow” to both. Full reviews as I finish, but go get Exploring….. You will thank me for it.

Seventh: I have a new picture of Rhiannon (the Goddess) on my wall. I bought a card from Magical Journey, a local bookstore by a guy named Briar. I have tried to find a website for him, but I can’t see one. Anyhow, She is now hanging in my cubicle and she is georgous. If anyone knows where I can find his website, please let me know.

That’s about it. I’ll let you know.
